Invito a Capalbio

Ho presentato qualche giorno fa le opere DROPS, Marine e Coral, che puoi vedere QUI, dedicate alle profondità marine e ai coralli. Da queste opere sono nati anche due nuovi capi del progetto Arte da Indossare, le sciarpe omonime Marine e Coral, perfette per l'estate.

I have already introduced my new artworks DROPS, Marine and Coral, you can see them HERE, dedicated to sea life and corals. They where the starting point to create two new precious creations belonging to the Wearable Art project, the scarves Marine and Coral, a perfect match for a summer vacation.

Quale posto migliore allora per presentare queste opere e sciarpe ispirate al mare se non al Rovida Lab, che già da qualche mese ospita la mia Arte da Indossare? Allora un tuffo nel mare a ferragosto, quest'anno lo faremo insieme, nella splendida cornice di Capalbio e sarà l'occasione giusta per esporre anche altre opere originali. 

So I couldn't find a better place to introduce my new sealife inspired artworks and scarves than the Rovida Lab, which is already displaying my work since a few months. We'll plunge into the bluest mediterranean sea around the lovely Tuscan city of Capalbio, and this will be the right occasion to show other original artworks. 

Ringrazio di cuore Laura Rovida per aver accolto il mio lavoro e averlo fatto dialogare con il suo, e per avermi invitata a partecipare a questa giornata di mezza estate, che ormai da anni organizza per celebrare l'estate e dedica alla promozione della collaborazione artistica.

Nel luogo senza tempo, dove l'acqua nasconde e nutre, creature di ogni tipo nascono alla vita, abitano scogli e fondali, barriere coralline e valli marine, in un tripudio di forme e colori. E' qui che ci portano queste due opere della serie DROPS, aprendo un varco in questo mondo magnifico e segreto. 

In the timeless place, protected and hidden by the water, all kinds of creatures come to life, living in cliffs and dephts, reefs and sea valleys, in a multitude of forms and colours. The new two paintings belonging to the DROPS series lead us into this magnificent, secret world.

Queste due opere sono parte della serie DROPS, e si chiamano MARINE e CORAL. Misurano 70x50 cm e sono state realizzate su carta Fabriano 300gr 100% cotone, con la tecnica dell'acquerello e disegno ad inchiostro. 

These two artworks are part of the DROPS series, and are named MARINE and CORAL. They measure 70x50cm and were made on 100% cotton Fabriano paper 300gr, with the technique of watercolour and ink drawing.

Inoltre, gli acquerelli della serie DROPS sono state scelti per diventare altro, per crescere e trasformarsi. Così MARINE e CORAL sono l'ispirazione per due nuovi capi della mia Arte da Indossare, in questo caso due nuove sciarpe. Le sciarpe sono stampate e cucite in italia, e sono fatte di un morbido tessuto composto di modal e cachemere.

Gli acquerelli originali e le sciarpe saranno presentati durante l'esposizione presso il ROVIDA LAB il 17 agosto 2017.

Moreover, the watercolours belonging to the DROPS series, where chosen to become something else, to expand and be transformed. Thus MARINE and CORAL were the inspiration for two new pieces of my Wearable Art, two new scarves. The scarves are printed and sewn in Italy, and are made of a soft fabric made of modal and cachemere. 

The original paintings and the scarves will be on show during the next exhibition at ROVIDA LAB on August 17th 2017.
