In the series WEFTS I used white ink on watercolour painted background. Working with this technique I understood it contains something hypnotic. The ink has a subtle, subtractive power, that goes back in time and erases in a delicate but inexorable manner, bringing back the colour to the whiteness of paper.

So I started to trace thin lines that intertwined and met reminding the weaving of textiles.

The sum of the lines created a new power, just like the sum of talents generates energy and leads to new paths, creating connections of meaning and bringing to new discoveries.

This idea of cooperation is reinforced by the fact that each watercolour represents a woven letter of the alphabet that, united to the others, forms a word.

I played around this theme painting words whose meaning is particularly dense and profound, like BEAUTY, WISDOM, POETRY… 

Nella serie TRAME ho utilizzato l'inchiostro bianco su fondo colorato ad acquerello. Usando questa tecnica ho capito che contiene qualcosa di ipnotico, perchè l’inchiostro ha un potere sottile, sottrattivo, che va indietro nel tempo, che cancella in Manier delicata ma inesorabile, riportando il colore al candore originale della carta.

Ho così iniziato a tratteggiare delle linee sottili che si intrecciavano e si incontravano ricordando, appunto, le trame dei tessuti.

La somma dei tratti generava così una nuova forza, così come la somma di talenti sprigiona energia, genera nuovi percorsi e crea connessioni di significati, portando a nuove scoperte.

Questa idea di cooperazione è ulteriormente rafforzata dal fatto che in ogni acquerello sia intessuta una lettera che, unita alle altre, forma una parola.

Mi sono divertita a scrivere parole dense di significato e profonde, che risuonano in me con un peso specifico importante, come BEAUTY, WISDOM, POETRY ....
